Symbol: Three-pointed star
Alignment: Lawful Good
Portfolio: Sophistication, Stability, Peace, Law
Domains: Protection, Law, Good, Nobility
Favored Weapon: Bastard Sword
Divine Rank: 17
The Triumvirate are one of Valenpoint’s oldest pantheons, along with their shadowy other half, The Triad. They are defenders of all that is good and just, brave heroes and inspirations for those of noble and stalwart intent. Guardsmen, paladins, kind-hearted warriors, judges and the nobility all flock to the worship of the Triumvirate.
Although the Triumvirate places the protection of the defenseless as one of their highest priorities, and despite the admonishments to give to the poor and treat others with kindness and selflessness, they are nonetheless still broadly seen as the religion of the nobility. When one thinks of the Triumvirate, one thinks not of the common peasant hero, but of knights dressed in the brightest plate, defending not only what is good, but also the status quo.
SERA, GODDESS OF VIGILANCE
Symbol: A gate with an overplayed shield
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Portfolio: Guardians, Protectors, Bodyguards
Domains: Planning, Protection, Strength, Courage
Favored Weapon: Longsword
Divine Rank: 11
The Watcher At The Threshold, Sera is said to once have been the mightiest goddess anywhere on Eos. Her power has long been in the wane, however, as she rarely involves herself directly in the affairs of mortals. No avatars are sent, no manifestations, visions or directions given: she gives them her ethos and morals, and grants spells to her faithful clerics, but beyond that, there is only silence.
Her priesthood claims that this is because of her eternal watch. They claim that the planar boundaries all over Eos are unusually narrow, and were it not for Sera, planar portals and openings would form almost constantly, unpredictably - supposedly, this is the world’s natural state, and they point to the ruins of ancient fiendish realms as evidence. Many wonder that, if this is true, the continuing waning of Sera’s power may bode very poorly for the future.
DACIA, GODDESS OF JUSTICE
Symbol: Blindfold
Alignment: Lawful Good
Portfolio: Justice, Equality
Domains: Knowledge, Law, Retribution, Truth
Favored Weapon: Two-handed Sword
Divine Rank: 13
The Blindfolded Queen, Dacia is said to rule over every court in Eos. Many think her purview is limited to the enactment of laws and the judgement of offenses, but in truth her mantle is far wider than that - a fact her priests often explain to any who show interest. She is a goddess of justice, not simply of the law. She seeks to ensure that truth, good and fairness rules, and in this way brings equality and peace for all.
In lawless lands, many self-appointed justice-makers call on Dacia’ name, and the truly worthy ones do gain her blessing. In corrupt realms, rebels and vigilantes make quiet prayers and secret shrines in the shadows, and are blessed if the goddess deems their cause worthy. Though generally opposed to any form of lawlessness or disruptions in civil peace, Dacia is not a goddess who stands idle in the face of iniquity. Dacia does not uphold the law for its own sake, but instead as a tool in the creation of just, equal and fair societies.
LEORA, GODDESS OF LIGHT
Symbol: A flaming torch
Alignment: Neutral Good
Portfolio: Light, The Sun, Renewal, Perseverance, Hope
Domains: Renewal, Good, Sun, Glory
Favored Weapon: Lance
Divine Rank: 13
The light in the dark, Leora embodies every positive quality of light and warmth. A solar goddess, she stands for the cycle of day and night, the flow of seasons and years, and the eternal renewal implied by those motions. To those in the prime of their lives, she is an inspiration beckoning you to do great things and live fully. To those trapped in darkness, she is the promise that the dawn always comes.
As wise as she is lively, this solar goddess teaches her followers to persevere when faced with adversity, and to make the most of the daytime when they find it. Any form of renewal or rebirth is sacred to Leora, and most of her holy rituals include some form of ending, usually ominous and terrifying, followed by a fresh beginning. Though that makes her faith a sombre one at most times, the lay folk know that they will always leave her temples filled with a message of hope in their hearts.
